Preparing for your session

To ensure a smooth and confidential virtual session, please follow these recommendations:

  • Use a webcam-enabled device such as a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Your camera must remain on during the session.

  • Secure your connection. A strong, private internet connection is essential. Avoid using public or unsecured Wi-Fi networks.

  • Troubleshooting tips:

    • Restart your modem/router.

    • Disconnect other devices from your network.

    • Move closer to your router.

    • If needed, switch to cellular data instead of Wi-Fi.

  • Be on time. Please arrive promptly for your session. If you need to cancel or reschedule, notify the psychologist at least 48 hours in advance.

  • Ensure privacy. Choose a quiet, private location where you won’t be overheard or interrupted. Proper lighting in front of you (not behind) helps maintain good visibility.

  • Camera positioning matters. Set your camera at eye level and ensure your full face is clearly visible on the screen.

  • Enhance audio quality. Use a headset or earbuds with a microphone whenever possible to minimize background noise and echo.
