Dr. Ledward is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 25 years of experience. Born and raised on the island of Oʻahu, she is deeply committed to supporting the well-being of her local community. She works with children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, or relationship difficulties. Many clients seek her guidance for concerns such as anxiety, depression, disconnection in relationships, or stress that disrupts daily functioning.
With warmth and insight, Dr. Ledward offers a compassionate and collaborative space where clients can explore the deeper layers of their experiences. Her goal is to help individuals release what no longer serves them so they can reconnect with life in more grounded, fulfilling ways.
Dr. Ledward earned her Bachelor's degree from Hawai‘i Loa College in 1994, followed by a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from San José State University in 1997. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2001 at the American School of Professional Psychology, Hawai‘i Campus. As part of her doctoral training, she completed an APA-accredited internship at the Bradley Center of St. Francis in Columbus, Georgia, where she gained experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across inpatient, day treatment, and outpatient settings.
After earning her doctorate, Dr. Ledward completed an APA-accredited Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychology at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu in 2003. She remained on staff at Tripler for an additional year, which included providing psychological services to patients at Ho‘ola Lāhui Hawai‘i, a Native Hawaiian Health Center on Kaua‘i. She then transitioned to working full-time at Ho‘ola Lāhui Hawai‘i for three years before returning to O‘ahu to establish her private practice.
Working with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues, Dr. Ledward provides a highly personalized approach tailored to each individual’s unique needs. In a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment, she helps clients identify and process challenges with humility, curiosity, and compassion. Through reflection and skill-building, she supports meaningful, sustainable change.
Her experience spans a variety of settings and populations, giving her insight into concerns including depression, anxiety, childhood disorders, trauma and abuse, parenting struggles, stress management, relationship issues, and grief or loss.
